Enjoy the stunning scenery of the Whanganui River National Park the easy way, our jet boat can take you all the way to the Bridge to Nowhere and back in a day trip. Experience the thrills of zooming along with the wind in your hair and running the rapids with our experienced jet boat driver to keep you safe and tell you all about the sights.
Please note that a minimum of 4 passengers are required for all of our jet boat trips and some dates may be unavailable.
Your safety is important to us and we reserve the absolute right to not allow passengers to travel when we consider the river conditions or weather forecasts are unfavourable, or for any other reason, at our sole discretion. In the event that we consider the river to be unsafe, we will offer an alternative date or fully refund any deposit or other payment made. If we consider the river to be safe for your trip and you choose not to go, we reserve the right to keep any deposit or payment made.
Our Jet Boat Experiences
Lavender Farm
Taumarunui to Ohinepane return - stopping at Lauren's Lavender Farm
2-3 hours (approx) - $2500 per charter, including up to 10 passengers
An exhilarating ride on the upper reaches of the Whanganui River. Launching at Cherry Grove, Taumarunui, you’ll enjoy the thrills and the sights as far down river as Ohinepane. Having worked up an appetite as the fresh air rushes past, we’ll pop into Lauren’s Lavender Farm to treat you to a cuppa and a muffin before returning to Taumarunui.
Available from end of October, through until the middle of May only.
Ohinepane Picnic
Taumarunui to Ohinepane return - stopping at Ohinepane.
2-3 hours (approx) - $2500 per charter, including up to 10 passengers
An alternative to the Lavender Farm trip, enjoy a picnic and a hot cuppa from the thermos at Ohinepane campsite
Posh Pioneers
Taumarunui to Whakahoro (return) - stopping at Posh Pioneers.
4-6 hours (approx) - $4500 per charter, including up to 10 passengers
Explore the upper reaches of the beautiful Whanganui River as it travels from town, through remote farmland and into untouched wilderness. Admire stunning waterfalls, wild rapids and deep, bush clad gorges. You’ll travel to the delightful Posh Pioneers off-grid, glamping site where you will be transported on ATV by Fritz and Heather to a home-cooked lunch with excellent organic barista coffee. Then enjoy the thrill of jetting back up-river to Taumarunui.
Blue Duck Station
Taumarunui to Whakahoro (return) - stopping at Blue Duck Station.
4-6 hours (approx) - $4500 per charter, including up to 10 passengers
Explore the upper reaches of the beautiful Whanganui River as it travels from town, through remote farmland and into untouched wilderness. Admire stunning waterfalls, wild rapids and deep, bush clad gorges. You’ll travel to renowned Blue Duck Station, known for their conservation efforts of the endangered Blue Duck (Whio) where you will be transported by ATV to the Blue Duck Café for lunch. Then enjoy the thrill of jetting back up-river to Taumarunui.
